Steve Innis is a native of Bartlesville, OK. His primary teacher was the late James Avery, at the Staatliche Hochschule fur Musik im Freiburg, Germany. Dr. Innis earned his DMA from the University of North Texas, and served as house pianist and music director at the Hotel Adolphus in downtown Dallas, TX until 2001. Accompanying school choir programs led to the establishment of a music technology program and band directing at MacArthur HS in Irving, TX. His most defining teaching position was as the band, choir and orchestra director for Northridge High School in Greeley, CO. Both he and Nancy, the breath-taking soprano-turned-therapist he married 35 years ago, are semi-retired here in Colorado.
