English Horn
Christoph Hartmann, Oboe, studied with Günther Passin in Munich. He has won several prizes at international competitions in Toulon, Geneva, and Tokyo.
His engagement with the Stuttgart Philharmonic was followed by a position with the Berlin Philharmonic. He tours as a soloist across Europe, Asia, and South America. Following his distinctive love for chamber music, he founded the Festival “Landsberger Sommermusik” and the “Ensemble Berlin” touring nationally and internationally.
He has performed at the international festivals of Mozartfest Wurzburg, Stavanger International Chamber Music Festival, Sesc Festival di Musica Pelotas (Brazil), Salso Festival and Summer Class (Italy) and the Vintefestspill I Bergstaden Röros (Norway).
Christoph Hartmann is the teacher and board member at the Chamber Academy “KonstKnekt“ Røros, Norway.
He founded PoQ the “Philharmonic Oboe Quartet“ with colleagues of his orchestra and they recorded Mozart’s ”Magic Flute“ in a version for Oboe and String Trio.
Christoph Hartmann plays a Püchner English horn.
