Pearl Street Mall

A street lined with restaurants, shops, and people watching, Pearl Street is the heart and soul of Boulder.

Just 1.1 miles from the College of Music, Pearl Street Mall is easily accessible by public transportation. Located in the center of historic downtown, locals and visitors stroll the brick-paved pedestrian walkway, linger on sun-dappled benches and restaurant patios, shop to their hearts’ content, and stop to watch only-in-Boulder street performers.

Biking, Hiking and Walking

Boulder is a very walkable city — nearly 10 percent of commuters walk to work.

Boulder has been named one of the top bike-friendly cities in the nation. Rental bikes are readily available at Boulder’s many bike shops. Some shops allow customers to test-drive a bike for a few days.
